Is a FFP2 medical mask going to be better than a homemade mask?

Most probably FFP2 masks are better than homemade masks. Homemade masks vary a lot whereas FFP2 certified masks have specific properties defined by international standards. Homemade masks may well offer some protection against large fluid droplets (in and out such as when coughing) but are vey unlikely to protect against smaller particles or bacteria. Our FFP2 masks offer over at least 94% filtration of particles.

How to use the head strap clips?

Please use the provided head strap clip if the mask is not fitting tight (smaller head/ face) enough by using the elastic loops arround the ears. The head strap clip provides a very tight fit to achieve best filtration of particles.

What does FFP mean?

The abbreviation FFP stands for Filtering Face Piece. It is mainly used to describe respirator style face masks, FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3 under EN149 tests. The higher the number the greater the filtration. FFP2 (N95) >94% and FFP3 (N99) >99%.

What is the difference between valved and non-valved?

The valve is a comfort device. Our FFP2 masks are Non Valved to protect other people as well! A valve does not affect or contribute to the level of protection but controls how much and how quickly air can escape from the respirator to reduce the build-up of heat and moisture. If the respirator wearer is ill, the valve will not stop them spreading infection as their breath or cough can enter the air without filtering as the valve opens on exhalation.

We do charge a fix shipping fee of £5.99 per order. Free UK delivery of orders over £150.

What is your shipping and return policy?

No refunds can be given on masks or health care products. It is agreed that it is the customer's responsibility to satisfy themselves that masks purchased are suitable for the task intended before making a purchase. Please do not ask us for advice as we are not qualified to give it. If in doubt, please contact your doctor. NO REFUNDS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PRODUCTS BOUGHT OVER THE CORONAVIRUS PERIOD. ALL PURCHASE ARE NON RETURNABLE DUE TO POTENTIAL HEALTH CONTAMINATION. CANCELLATION It is not possible to cancel your order once it has been shipped. If your order has not been shipped there is a cancellation charge of £50 or 25% of the order value, whichever is greater. Training: If the event being booked is 14 days or less from the date of confirmation, then there is no cooling off period and will still be charged for. Cancellations must be made in writing prior to 14 days before the training session. DAMAGES, SHORTAGES OR NON DELIVERY Damage or Short Delivery - Damage and/or shortages must be noted on carriers delivery sheet immediately and notice in writing given to Seller within 3 days of receipt of goods. Non Delivery - Claims for non-delivery must be made in writing to the Seller within 10 days of the date of dispatch shown on the invoice. UNAUTHORISED RETURNS An administration charge of £50 will be charged if you return your order, or part, without our prior written agreement. Further charges for administration and/or disposal of your order will be incurred unless you arrange for collection or disposal of your order within 7 days of return. Please note that goods such as masks and respirators are exempt under the Sale of Goods Act due to their nature. All products must be returned in original packaging and in a resaleable condition. All returns must be authorised prior to return using the contact details below; e-mail: Our customer services department will then arrange a collection. There is a charge of £16.95* per parcel for collection of returned goods or you can return the goods to us at your own cost. Any refund due excludes postal charge at £ 6.20 or at the stated rate on the order. An admin charge of £20 will be made against any unauthorized returns/automatic returns where the courier has been unable to make delivery. CHARGEBACKS An administration charge of £50 will be charged if you authorise your credit or debit card company to debit our account for any order without our written agreement first. DISPUTES It is agreed that this or any contract that exists between us and the customer is governed by English Law and no other. It is agreed that any dispute or grievance between us and the customer be settled by arbitration any claim shall be limited to the cost of the products ordered. SHIPPING AND HANDLING Same day dispatch cut off time is 12pm midday Mo.-Fr. The majority of orders arrive within 1- 3 days however can in some instances outside our control take 3-5 days for delivery. If your purchase is urgent please contact us directly. BACK ORDERS If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. If the items cannot be delivered within 28 days we will contact you with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
